Amsterdam's Olympic Secret

After months of research, RTL Nieuws revealed the ‘big secret’ of the Olympic Stadium in Amsterdam on Friday. The lead cylinder found behind a memorial stone of the Marathon tower on November 22, 2012 contained a certificate, an Olympic medal, an Olympic stamp collection and a mysterious note. The organizers of the Games covered the cylinder with cement on November 3, 1928 to record the success of the event. They added a note with the names and signatures of the organization of the Games, of the city of Amsterdam and of the stadium. The ‘treasure of the Marathon tower’ is on show in the Olympic Experience, the interactive sport museum in the Olympic stadium in Amsterdam.
