Primatologist Jane Goodall’s final speech to premiere at film festival in Amsterdam
The final public speech of primatologist and conservationist Jane Goodall will be shown for the first time at a Dutch film festival next month, festival organizers announced Friday.
The Tomorrow Film Festival, hosted by streaming service Cinetree, will feature the recording on its opening night, November 20, at the DeLaMar Theater in Amsterdam.
The nearly 30-minute footage was captured in the United Kingdom shortly before Goodall’s death on October 1 at the age of 91 in Los Angeles.
Cinetree director Hanna Verboom said the festival had invited Goodall to visit Amsterdam in late November, but she passed away before the trip. “With this unique screening, Cinetree wants to honor and keep alive Jane’s hopeful message,” Verboom told RTL.
