Man facing three years jail for burglary of reality TV star's home with babysitters help

The Public Prosecution Service (OM) has recommended a three-year prison sentence against 21-year-old Nassar E. for the burglary of reality TV star Tamara Elbaz’s home and possession of a weapon. E., together with two women who were babysitting her child, allegedly devised a plan to pretend the 43-year-old Elbaz’s house was being robbed, while in reality they committed a theft.

The culprits stole jewelry, watches, and bags belonging to Elbaz worth approximately 200,000 euros. Her son was asleep in the home during the incident. Elbaz is known from the reality show The Real Housewives of Amsterdam. She was not home during the theft.

In addition to the jail sentence, the OM thinks that E. should pay around 55,000 euros in damage compensation. The suspect’s lawyer said that the recommendation is “excessively high.” The other suspects will appear in court at a later date.

The OM recommended two years against E. for the theft and another year for possession of a deadly weapon with ammunition. Police found the gun in the suspect’s car. E. has currently been detained for three months.

The verdict for E.’s case is scheduled for July 22. Neither the defendant nor Elbaz will be present.

It is the second time in a few months that a case concerning Elbaz was treated in court. Vuriano V. was sentenced to 20 months in prison in April for severely assaulting Elbaz.
