AI generated nudes of underage Dutch influencers shared on Telegram
Investigative journalism program Pointer discovered a Telegram channel where members share fake nude images of at least 37 well-known Dutch and Flemish influencers. At least 11 cases involve AI-generated nude photos of minor girls.
The nude images were generated using AI undressing apps. On the Telegram channel, with 2,200 members, members take images from the influencers’ social media channels and turn them into nudes with the undressing tools, and then share those images again.
Generating and distributing pornographic material of someone else without their explicit consent is punishable, even if they are an adult and the images are AI-generated. Because the images include at least 11 minor girls, Pointer reported the child pornography to the police.
The influencers in question were shocked when Pointer informed them about their images being shared on the Telegram channel. Many told the program that they would file charges with the police.
Telegram took the channel offline after the program’s investigation.
