Motorists warned to expect traffic due to large amount of road closures this weekend

Motorists should be prepared for delays and detours this weekend. Parts of several motorways are closed from Friday night to early Monday morning. This is likely to cause problems for the drivers in the area of Rotterdam especially. The ANWB advises people to drive around the port city via the south side.

The A4 motorway from the Benelux tunnel to the Kethelplein junction will be closed on Friday night, going in a northern direction. The A12 will also be partly closed between the exit of Gouda-West and the node of Oudenrijn. The A20 road between Nieuwekerk and Gouwe will also be closed.

Construction will lead to the A1 being closed between Barneveld and Stroe. The A67 is closed until Monday morning between the nodes of Leenderheide and Someren.

In the overnight hours of Friday into Saturday, the road between Echteld and Tiel-West will be closed heading west. The Afsluitdijk is closed for that night and the night after.

The event Concert at Sea has led to the main carriageway of the N57 on Brouwersdam being closed. The parallel road will be available for use, according to the ANWB report.

ANWB also shared that the A10 Zuid near Amsterdam is closed from Friday night until Monday morning between the Nieuwe Meer and the Amstel node due to road construction. This is concerning the road that leads towards Utrecht.
