Finding the best hotel in Paris: 3 Tips

Finding a hotel in Paris really doesn't have to be a complex chore, as long as you start the search with the right tips and advice! In recent years, a new generation of hotels has emerged that can be found in the heart of Paris. You will usually find them in the trendy and popular neighborhoods of the Right Bank, such as Bastille, Sentier, Marais, Pigalle and the many arrondissements. Moreover, these hotels are reasonably priced. Besides location and price, what else should you pay attention to when choosing a hotel in Paris? In this blog, we would like to help you out.

1. Stay in the city center

Staying in the center of Paris is ideal, especially for visitors entering the city of love for the first time. After all, the city center is home to numerous fantastic attractions that are easy to visit within walking distance (or by public transportation).

Looking for inspiration? Perhaps one of the most memorable locations for an overnight hotel Paris is Rue Cler in the 7th arrondissement, one of the largest Parisian market streets that is very close to the Eiffel Tower and other spectacular tourist hotspots.

2. Read reviews: Choose hotels with recent experiences

For the best experience in Paris, it is important to check if the hotel room you have your eye on has been recently renovated. Although you will probably only stay in your room for a short time, comfort and cleanliness are of utmost importance after a busy day of sightseeing. Hotels also age quickly, so it's best to consider recently posted reviews in your search.

In reviews, you can see if hotels have "refurbished" and "unrefurbished" rooms. It may be worth paying a few euros more for a refurbished room that has all the necessary amenities, such as a comfortable bathroom, soundproof walls and window coverings, a relaxing bed, and so on.

3. What does your hotel room overlook?

Especially if you are in Paris, you probably want a hotel room with a typical view of the city and its streets. Most hotel rooms overlook the street, the courtyard or the hotel ruins. Light sleepers may prefer rooms with courtyard views. If you want the best of both, ask for a street-side room on a higher floor to reduce noise!
