Two Dutch documentaries awarded International Emmy's

Dutch documentaries Dance or Die and Bellingcat - Truth in a Post-Truth World were both awarded prizes at the International Emmy Awards. Dance or Die by Nieuwsuur reporter Roozbeh Kaboly won in the Arts Programming category, Bellingcat - Truth in a Post-Truth World by director Hans Pool won in the Documentary category, NOS reports.

Dance or Die is about 27-year-old Ahmad Joudeh, a young dancer from Syria. The war in his hometown of Damascus made it impossible for him to live his passion. He fled the violence and eventually ended up in the Netherlands, where he now dances with the Dutch National Ballet.
