Python, dozens of other snakes stolen from Gelderland resident

Several dozen snakes, including boa constrictors, red rattlesnakes, African house snakes and one python, were stolen from a home in Heteret this week, ANP reports.

The snakes were stolen from a shed behind the owners home on Polderstraat somewhere between Wednesday evening and Thursday morning. The owner only realized the cages were empty during the course of the day on Thursday. The theft was reported to the police.

None of the stolen snakes are venomous. The owner believes that the thieves may be trying to sell the snakes. He asks buyers to be extra alert when purchasing any of the above mentioned species of snakes.
