Porn while counting ballots: "canteen humor" angers Enschede football club
A photo of people counting ballots at football club r.k.s.v. EMOS in Enschede while a porno can be seen on a big screen in the clubhouse, caused quite a stir. "The results here are not known yet", Thijs Fiselier tweeted with the photo.
As a joke some footballers switched the big screen from NPO1 to a porn channel and snapped a picture. The photo shows two naked women on the massive television screen, while in the foreground two people are counting ballots, none the wiser.
The man who posted the photo says that the photo wasn't Photoshopped, but a snapshot. And that this was an "example of football canteen humor", just a joke. "After football training we were drinking a beer and then we put the porn channel on the screen as a joke", Fiselier said to Radio 538. "Just a joke. Nothing more, nothing less." He since removed the photo.
Football club president Hans Scholten doesn't find the joke very funny and publicly distanced himself from it. "This is a joke with consequences that were not thought about", he said to RTV Oost. "Despite it being a joke, the consequences for the municipality and club were not considered. As club we have a good reputation and that's important for members and parents. You don't know what such tweet could do."
According to the municipality of Enschede, the effort of the seven ballot counters is very much appreciated and the joke did not interfere with the process of counting the ballots.
