Child pornography found on Bussum childcare worker

An employee at a day care center in Bussum was arrested after the police found child pornography at his home. He was also dismissed from the SKBNM daycare, where he's worked as a teaching assistant for 15 years. The police stress that the child pornography was not made at the day care center, NOS reports.

The police started investigating the man after a tip from the American authorities. The U.S. authorities discovered child pornography stored on the man's Dropbox. The Dutch police searched his home and found child pornography on his computer. According to the police, the man did not produce the pornography himself, only possessed it.

An information evening was held for parents whose kids attend the daycare. Hundreds of parents attended. "There were a lot of questions", the director of the SKBNM said to NOS. "Parents are very frightened, because this is obviously a big thing for them."

The suspect will be arraigned on Thursday.
