Paul Verhoeven's Elle returns to theaters after Golden Globes win

From today French thriller Elle by director Paul Verhoeven will be showing again in seven cinemas in the Netherlands, distributor Independent Films announced. Cinemas in Haarlem, Den Bosch, Zwolle, Enschede, Amsterdam, Breda and Hoorn all requested a copy of the film after Ell was awarded two Golden Globes, NU.nl reports.

Elle won the Golden Globe for best foreign film and leading lady Isabelle Huppert won for best actress.

The thriller is about a woman who goes in search for the man who raped her in her Paris home. Elle premiered last year at the Canes film festival and was very well received. It was the first film in 10 years for 78-year-old Verhoeven.
