Dutch soldiers learning yoga to deal with stress and truama

The Dutch Ministry of Defense hired sports instructors to teach Dutch soldiers yoga. The Ministry hopes that yoga will help soldiers to deal better with stress and trauma, the Telegraaf reports. Soldiers carry great responsibility and often find themselves in extremely stressful situations, the Ministry said. Yoga can help them process traumatic experiences. A number of soldiers will be trained to be yoga instructors. The ultimate goal is that every solider in the air force, army and navy will have the opportunity to do yoga. The instructors will be trained by Amsterdam yoga teacher Johan Noorloos.
