No Surrender intimidated magazine to stop publishing articles about the gang: report

With threats and intimidation motorcycle gang No Surrender forced weekly magazine Panorama to stop publishing stories about the motorcycle gang, NRC reports. In 2014 two No Surrender leaders forced chief editor Frans Lomans to sign a contract stating that journalist Mylene de la Haye is no longer to write and publish articles about the motorcycle gang, according to the newspaper. The police told the newspaper that there is evidence that Lomans and De la Haye were threatened. Detectives talked to Lomans about it, but so far he did not press charges. In 2014 De la Hay started a series about No Surrender. The series of articles abruptly stopped after only two stories. According to NRC, the No Surrender leadership was very much against the series as De la Haye was writing about the criminal aspects of the gang.
