Young people fined for climbing Rotterdam bridge

The police were called in to remove five young people from the top of the Van Brienenoordbrug bridge's arch in Rotterdam on Friday morning, RTV Rijnmond reports. It is unclear why the young people climbed the bridge, but their actions resulted in part of the A16 towards Terbregseplein being closed down for a short while. According to the local broadcaster, all five the young people were fined and their parents were called in to pick them up at the police station. The police describe their actions as "extremely dangerous."
