Video shows perpetrator in Amsterdam apartment assassination

The police released new camera footage in the case surrounding the assassination of Carlos Miquelito Bonevacia in the Kruitberg apartment building in Bijlmermeer, Amsterdam last month. The gunman was filmed from very close by and the somewhat fuzzy footage shows his face quite clearly.

Drug trafficker Bonevacia, also known by the nickname Maiky, was gunned down around 11:30 p.m. on April 12th. He was returning from nearby cafe De Kraai to Kruitberg, where he shares an apartment with his mother. Bonevacia was walking on crutches due to an injury to his knee. Previously released surveillance camera footage shows a man approaching Bonevacia from the subway line. Bonevacia does not notice anything and continues walking. Once in the apartment building Bonevacia is shot several times at close range. He died at the scene. The new footage shows the perpetrator quite clearly. He is a slender, dark skinned man with a broad nose. The police believes he is of Surinamese, Antillean or Dominican descent. At the time of the assassination, he was wearing a dark jacket and dark tracksuit pants bearing the FC Barcelona logo. Police spokesperson Ellie Lust told Het Parool that it is "almost unique" to catch an assassin on film from so close by. It is possible that the gunman did not expect Bonevacia to go home that early or use that entrance and had to adjust his assassination plans at the last minute. https://youtu.be/UYzLzhCbtH8
