Murder-suicide ruled in Nijmegen father, son death investigation

A police investigation into the bodies of two men found in a Nijmegen house on Monday revealed that they were killed in a murder suicide. The victims were a 78 year old man and his 40 year old son, the police confirmed on Wednesday. No further details were revealed. The police closed the investigation on Wednesday and released the bodies to their family. Officers responded to the house on Berg en Dalseweg around 4:00 p.m. on Monday after a family remember called them. The family member became concerned when neither man answered their phone or their door. A local resident told the Gelderlander that both men lived in the home and led a secluded life.
