Amsterdam ambulances given final warning for poor hygiene, old equipment

Ambulance Amsterdam received a final warning from the Healthcare Inspectorate for not complying to the "requirements and conditions". If the problems are not solved by April 1st at the latest, RAV will be facing a fine at least, ANP reports. Some of the problems the Inspectorate found include it being unclear which employees were vaccinated against what, ambulances and instruments not being cleaned often enough, and equipment being too outdated to still be used. According to the Inspectorate, some of these problems date back to 2013. On their website RAV Ambulance Amsterdam calls the Inspectorate's conclusions an "unpleasant and very serious message". Last year Ambulance Amsterdam was under fire for poor response times.
