Hospital’s operating rooms closed on new water leak

The Amphia Hosipital in Oosterhout had to close its operating complex on Monday due to a water leak. This resulted in 37 patients not being able to undergo their surgeries. "Water in an operating room causes risk of infection, so closing was the only option. That's according to protocol", a spokesperson for the Amphia Hospital said to RTL Nieuws. The hospital has announced on its website that the leak has since been fixed and the operation complex will be open as usual on Tuesday. The 37 surgeries cancelled on Monday will be rescheduled as soon as possible. The hospital apologizes for the inconvenience.
