Car crashes into Blokker retail store seriously injuring 1, two others hurt
A car crashed into the Blokker retail store on Wiardi Beckmansingel in Vlaardingen on Wednesday afternoon. Three people were injured, one of them seriously.
The three victims were walking pass the store when the car hit them. They are two women aged 48 and 58 years and an 8 year old girl, a spokesperson for the police confirmed to newspaper AD. The 58 year old woman is the little girls grandmother. She sustained several bone fractures and was rushed to the hospital. The girl and the other woman's injuries are less severe.
The 63 year old driver of the car was not injured. The cause of the accident is still unclear, but the police do not believe that the motorist did it on purpose.
Both the car and the store were badly damaged.
