Amsterdam ax murderer could get five years in prison

The Public Prosecutor has demanded five years in prison and a psychiatric institution against a man who is suspected of murdering his neighbor with an ax in their apartment building in Portugaal in December last year, NOS reports. It seems that the 61 year old Gautemkoemar S. murdered the 67 year old woman, who lived in the flat above him, because she was noisy. According to the suspect, the woman made noise on purpose and she walked on the laminate with her shoes to irritate him into leaving. The medical examination of the suspect shows that he has diminished responsibility - he has a low IQ and brain damage caused by a stroke. This means that he has limited control over his thoughts, actions and impulses, according to the examiners.
