Beer taxi driver assaulted in Eindhoven
A beer taxi driver was severely assaulted in Strijp, Eindhoven early on Wednesday morning. The police are looking for witnesses.
The 67 year old driver was on his way to make a delivery around 03:15 a.m. on Wednesday. When he stopped at the junction of John Buijslaan and Tiburgseweg-West, two men walked up to the taxi, pulled open the door and dragged the driver out of the taxi.
The men assaulted the driver, beating and kicking him. He sustained two black eyes, several bruises on his face and a sore arm and leg. The attackers fled in a car after the assault.
The police would like to make contact with anyone who witnessed the assault or could provide information on the perpetrators. Both men have a pretty solid build and are about 1.75 meters tall. The one had a dark complexion, dark hair and wore dark clothing. The other is a white man with very short hair.
