TV report: Airport valets dump cars on city streets, speed at 180 km/h

The Schiphol parking services P7-self parking and Qube Valet sometimes use the cars of unsuspecting customers for private trips, according to television program Groete van MAX. The program delivered a Fiat to one of these services and found that it was used to drive to McDonald's and the gym. The cars are also sometimes driven at high speeds of between 150 and 180 kilometers per hour, and not parked in a guarded garage as customers assume, "but somewhere in a residential neighborhood in Amsterdam-West". Robert-Jan Buijtelaar, owner of both P7-self parking and Qube Valet, denied these accusations to the Telegraaf. "I don't even have staff. Moreover, people at P7-self parking park the car themselves. The program makers did not do a proper investigation and I hold them liable for the consequences of the broadcast." he said to the newspaper. According to Buijtelaar, employees of the television program entered his home and offices without permission and filmed there. He wasn't in the office when they were there, but his landlord was.
