Clothing designer Frans Molenaar hospitalized

Fashion designer Frans Molenaar is in hospital with a broken metatarsal and broken ribs. De Telegraaf reported on Friday that he ended up in hospital almost two weeks ago after falling down stairs. According to the newspaper, the 74 year old fashion designer missed a step. In his fall he took several framed photographs that were hanging in the stairwell with him, and so ended up at the bottom of the staircase between the shards. Molenaar will hear today whether he will have to stay in the hospital longer. Molenaar was also hospitalized in June for a hip replacement.
