The Public Prosecutor demanded 120 community service, a suspended prison sentence of 2 months and area and stadium bans to 2016 against six of the suspects and Ajax supporters who through fireworks on the field during the cup final in April. The management of Ajax called the behavior of the supporters "reprehensible". Te six young men, between the ages of 22 and 28 years, confessed to throwing the fireworks. The incident occurred during the beginning of the match, after the first goal. All six suspects said the fireworks were thrown to "enhance the atmosphere". It had nothing to do with the fact that the match was played in the Rotterdam Kuip. 38 people were arrested after the cup final because of open violence against property. This includes throwing fireworks and vandalism in the stands. The court is likely to rule on all these cases on Wednesday November 19th.
