Another earthquake rattles Groningen

There was an earthquake in Groningen on Tuesday night/Wednesday morning at about 02:15 a.m. The Royal Netherlands Meteorological Institute (KMNI) reports that the quake had a magnitude of 2.6 on the Richter scale. The epicenter of the quake was 6 kilometers northeast of Middelstum between Zandeweer and the Eemshavenweg, about 20 kilometers from the city of Groningen. Reports of the quake came from a large area, from the municipality of Eemsmond to the city of Groningen. here are also reports from the west of the city, but the quake seems to be most felt in the area northeast of the city near Middelstum. The strongest earthquake so far in North Groningen happened on August 16th, 2012, and had a magnitude of 3.6 on the Richter scale. The most disastrous earthquake of 2014 was in Ten Boer on September 30th and measured at 2.8 on the Richter scale. https://twitter.com/30stm_Sabine/status/529808692318060544
