Dutch woman ID'd as baby kidnapped in Argentina

Argentinean human rights organization Grandmothers of Plaza de Mayo have tracked down one of the 500 babies kidnapped during the military dictatorship between 1976 and 1983. A 38-year-old Dutch woman seems to be one of these babies, the Algemeen Dagblad reports. The Foundation works together with the National DNA Data Bank (BNDG) to track down the estimated 500 babies that disappeared during the oppressive regime. A lot of these children were taken from people who were detained for reasons of anti-establishment actions or beliefs. The Dutch woman is the 115th child found by the organization. Her parents were kidnapped by the regime, and she was born in prison. Her parents called her Ana Libertad. According to the Grandmothers foundation website, the parents were in the Marxist Leninist Communist Party. Her father was killed by the military dictatorship. Her mother has not yet been found. The grandmother of this woman was one of the founders of the Grandmothers foundation. Sadly, she passed in 2008, without ever meeting her granddaughter. According to the AD, the Dutch woman wants to have a DNA test done.
