A'dam pol threatens to "crucify" cat
A 3-week-old Facebook post that was only online for 20 minutes in a closed group resurfaced to haunt GroenLinks board member, Fjodor Molenaar. The post was written "in the heat of the moment," according to Molenaar.
"Don't be mad or sad if you find your four legged pet crucified on your front door in the near future," wrote Molenaar, who also wrote: "this is a final warning. Keep your kitties inside, teach them to behave and not to be a nuisance to your neighbors." Molenaar swiftly removed the post, that was briefly posted in a closed group for residents of his apartment complex, and apologized to a neighbor who was angered by the post. Molenaar had lost his patience with the neighbor's cats peeing on his front door. The post was retweeted by both first candidate for the Party for the Animals (PvdD), Johnas van Lammeren, and chairman Marianne Thieme, and cost a storm of criticism. GroenLinks distanced itself from Molenaar's act, which is classified as stupid by Molenaar himself. The GroenLinks board member ranks 20th on the list for the City Council elections on March 19.
