NAM flooded with damage reports

An earthquake in Groningen at 3:13am Thursday morning, with a magnitude of 3.0 on the Richter scale flooded the NAM with 300 damage reports. The epicenter was in Leermens, near Loppersum. The NAM expects even more reports to come in.

The quake was, safe for the one in August last year with a 3.6 force, the heaviest in the past six months. It doesn't matter when the damage is reported, stresses a NAM spokesperson. 'Likely most people will only have time to inspect their homes during the weekend.' The real extent of the damage is not clear yet. 'People give their best estimate, but a building expert will more accurately determine the extent of the damage,' said a NAM spokesperson. The company now has a vast experience in the matter, after receiving 13,000 damage reports overall so far.
