18-year-old victim violent bike theft

An 18-year-old boy became the victim of a violent bike theft in the Vondelpark in Amsterdam early Saturday morning, January 18, around 5:10, during which he sustained a head injury. The victim was sitting on a bench in the park, with his bike next to him against a lamppost, when six boys came up to him. When the boy tried to prevent two of them taking his bike, he was hit with a chain lock, among other things, and sustained a head injury. The boys fled in the direction of the Stadhouderskade. Police are calling on witnesses to come forward and on the boys to turn themselves in.
