Dutch firm Yard Energy buys 900 MW wind portfolio

Dutch firm Yard Energy Group has acquired wind energy developer KDE Energy. Scout Moor Wind Farm in England / Flickr The deal excludes KDE Energy’s UK subsidiary Infinergy Ltd. KDE Energy has a project pipeline of more than 900 megawatt (MW) in the Netherlands, Belgium, France and Poland. One megawatt can power 1000 homes. "The addition of project development know-how and assets under development strengthens Yard Energy’s position in the wind energy sector and speeds up its expansion plans, Yard Energy said in a statement.
