Fathers entitled to five days off at child birth

Fathers will gain the right to a work week off immediately after the birth of their child. Minister Asscher of Social Affairs will announce on Thursday that brand new dads get three additional days off. However, the fathers will have to pay for these days themselves.Now an employer is obliged to give a father two paid days off after the birth of a child. Minister Asscher wants to mandate that employers add three unpaid days off. It concerns unpaid parental leave days. It is unclear when the new rule will take affect. Newborn_and_father
