Hacker worked in finance

One of the hackers, suspected of plundering Dutch bank accounts, worked in the financial sector.Peter L. from Woubrugge owned Bitcoin exchange on the Internet. Part of the money he stole, he converted into virtual money. The company, FBTC Exchange, was established in June of this year. L. was working on plans to install Bitcoin POS at companies. Cyber Security / Free Digital Photos The reliability of the company was doubted on Internet forums. Peter L. responded he wanted to apply for a permit at the Authority for the Financial Markets, but that was impossible, because Bitcoins were not legal tender. He also stated his company took lots of security measures, in consultation with a Dutch bank, to secure the internet money and prevent fraud. L. previously worked as a broker and an insurance agent. By writing that he had read a lot about rogue websites, he tried to persuade potential victims to act through his website, FBTC. The website is offline since a few days. L. was arrested along with three others on Monday.
