The dresses achieved an extraordinarily elegant silhouette, according to the selection committee. For the ensemble Máxima wore during the coronation, Taminiau came up with an innovative variation on the cape, applying an ingenious technique. The designs are refreshing and establish The Netherlands on the international map as fashion country. The Dutch Design Awards is a series of prizes that are awarded annually in October to Dutch designers, and is part of the Dutch Design Week. The winners of the Dutch Design Awards will be announced on 19 October.
