Youth Care failed at death baby

Aid workers failed to prevent two cases of severe child abuse, due to poor communication, concludes the inspections of Youth Collaborative Monitoring after examining two incidents in Tilburg. One baby died from abuse and a one-year-old from another family ended up in the intensive care badly injured, presumably after abuse. In both cases, workers had previously noted the children were possibly at risk. pink baby shoes

Also no resolute actions were taken when parents fought off aid in both families. The authorities concerned (doctors, hospitals, social work, public health officials, police) should take action to improve assistance to children, according to inspection. The municipality of Tilburg plans to take the lead in doing so.
