Theater for play Anne Frank

Amsterdam is getting a new theater, especially for the new theater piece ANNE, about the life of Anne Frank. It is built in the new residential Houthavens aan het IJ and will open in April.The idea for the show comes from the Anne Frank Foundation in Basel. The theater is built and financed by the production company Imagine Nation by Kees Abrahams and Robin de Levita. Everything is financed with private money. How much it will cost, is not be released. anne frank

Flickr The play is written by the writers couple Leon de Winter and Jessica Durlacher. The director is Theu Boermans, director of Soldaat van Oranje, and artistic director of the National Theatre in The Hague. As for Soldaat van Oranje, the decor for ANNE will also be of a special design with large turntables. There is room for 1,100 visitors. The theater continues to exist after the performance. There may be other international productions at a later time.
