Accident State Secretary Dekker

It is the week of broken bones. State Secretary Sander Dekker of Education has had an accident on Sunday with his racing bike. He broke four bones and hence can not use his hands. Dekker was the victim of a classical cycling accident. He had to avoid a stray dog. The dog was unharmed after the incident, but Dekker has a broken elbow, clavicle, rib and wrist. The State Secretary will keep rest this week and can not join the discussions in the House on Wednesday and Thursday. He is, however, intended to be at his work next week again. Sander Dekker, a fanatic cyclist, drove this summer on his bike from Barcelona to the Netherlands in only three weeks. He made the tour together with his girlfriend. It will take a while before the unfortunate State Secretary can spend some time on the bike again.
