Dutch to Host Muay Thai Seminar

On August 14, well-known Dutch kickboxing coach Eibert Beugelink will come back to Crazy 88 Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu to lead a Muay Thai workshop. He will also discuss the kickboxing system in the Netherlands. Muay Thai competitor attempts a high kick but it is blocked by his opponent. The Dutch kickboxing system focuses on Western boxing and low kicks. Beugelink started training 35 years ago under Fred Royers at Mejiro Gym Arnhem. Kickboxing Arnhem (KBA) is one of the most popular gyms in the Netherlands. KBA has shaped fighters in the WKA, PKA, K-1 and other events around the world. Eibert has taught many fighters including UFC fighter Mike "The Hulk" Easton and James Vick. Crazy 88 headquarters have held seminars yearly to merge the Dutch system into the present Muay Thai system. Coach Bert has also been training two of Crazy 88's budding contenders Peter Petties and Keeman Diop. Muay Thai is a combat sport which originated from the muay martial arts of Thailand. In the recent years, this sport has grown and has become one the most popular competitive sports today. Source: SF Gate
