Houses Almost 10 Percent Cheaper
Residential homes are nearly 10 percent cheaper last month compared to the same period of 2012, Statistics Netherlands reports.

The decrease in value is more significant than in the previous month at 8.2 percent. The costs of existing owner-occupied residences were similar in June and at the end of 2002. They were 21.0 percent lower than in August 2008, when the costs were the highest. At the first half of 2013, a total of 45,201 house sales were registered, which is 22.8 percent below the level of the first six months last year.
