Inauguration Stamps

On Wednesday, PostNL released two special stamps issued to mark the inauguration of King Willem-Alexander. One stamp is for regular mail and has the letters 'W' and 'A' and the text ‘Willem-Alexander 30 IV 2013 Nederland’. The other stamp is for registered mail and shows an image of Beatrix and Willem-Alexander together with the text ‘30 April 2013’. The postal service announced late in January that they would issue, on the occasion of the upcoming inauguration, a special stamp bearing images of both Beatrix and Prince Willem-Alexander. There is no new stamp yet with the image of the future king. The stamps in euro with the image of Beatrix remain valid. The stamps that are still in guilders will be phased out.
