Neighbor's domestic violence report turns out to be kids gaming "enthusiastically"
An alarming-sounding report from neighbors about a domestic violence incident sent police officers responding to a home in Rotterdam. The reality proved much less scary - the screaming and shouting were a couple of kids “enthusiastically playing a video game.”
The incident happened in the Rotterdam neighborhood of Charlois over the weekend. Because the report sounded serious, the police immediately deployed a unit to the address.
At the scene, responding officers startled a couple of kids, who were having so much fun with the video game they were playing that their yelling worried the neighbors.
“Fortunately, it was a false alarm this time,” the Charlois police wrote on their Instagram stories. “But don’t hesitate to call if you suspect domestic violence.”
