Two more days of rush hour traffic at the Ridderkerk junction
Rijkswaterstaat expects that it will be very busy at the Ridderkerk junction for two more days, especially during the morning and evening rush hour. Anyone who has to be there on Monday or Tuesday would be better off working from home, using a different mode of travel, or driving outside rush hour, says Rijkswaterstaat.
Since last Wednesday, work has been underway to repair a hollow space under the road surface. This was caused by washed-away soil at the Ridderkerk junction. As a result, the connection between the A15 and the A38 at Ridderkerk-Noord will be closed until Wednesday. This will lead to disruptions and additional travel time.
The work on the nearby section of the A15 from Rotterdam to Gorinchem, between Ridderkerk-Zuid and the junction with the N3 at Papendrecht, should be completed by 05:00 a.m. on Monday. This section of the road was closed all weekend.
