Fleur Agema replaces Markuszower as deputy prime minister-designate for the PVV
Fleur Agema is the new proposed deputy prime minister on behalf of the PVV in the upcoming Schoof Cabinet. PVV leader Geert Wilders informed formateur Richard van Zwol of this, he wrote on X. Agema was already the intended Minister of Health, Welfare and Sport.
Ik heb de formateur zojuist laten weten dat onze sterspeler Fleur Agema behalve Minister van VWS ook de vicepremier zal worden namens de PVV

Wilders originally had Gidi Markuszower in mind as deputy prime minister. The current MP would also become the Minister of Asylum and Migration. However, Markuszower did not pass the AIVD screening of prospective ministers. As a result, Marjolein Faber has been appointed as his replacement.
Agema belongs to Wilders's small circle of confidantes and was closely involved in the negotiations with VVD, NSC, and BBB about a new coalition. She has been a member of the Tweede Kamer for the PVV since the party first participated in the elections in 2006. In his post, Wilders affectionately called her "our star player."
Faber's nomination as future asylum minister caused crisis talks between the forming parties on Friday after VVD leader Dilan Yeşilgöz pointed out controversial statements made by the PVV politician in the past. As a senator, she spoke of "repopulation," a term that was also used in Nazi Germany.
