Football clubs, 123456 often used as passwords in NL

Football fever is strong in the Netherlands, to the extent that Dutch football supporters even use their favorite football club as their password. Both Ajax and Feyenoord are among the top 30 most used passwords in the Netherlands, Financieele Dagblad reports based on an analysis by Scattered Secrets - a website where you can check whether your password has leaked.

In the Netherlands, 'feyenoord' is the 15th most used password, and 'ajax' the 30th, all in lower-case. 'feyenoord' was used as a password 10,409 times, 'ajax' was used 3,832 times. 'Feyenoord' and 'Ajax' with capital letters at the start were used far less often.

The Scattered Secrets database contains 3.86 billion leaked passwords, with more being added every second. Worldwide, 123456 is the most common password.
