"Moaning and gasping" send police to Zuid-Holland home
A peculiar report had the police responding to a home in the Zuid-Holland community of Rijnsburg on Wednesday night. The resident reported hearing "moaning and gasping" in his home, but couldn't figure out where it came from, Omroep West reports.
The officer in the police call center could also hear the strange noises through the telephone. Officers were dispatched to the home on Oegstgeesterweg. In the meantime the resident and his neighbor walked through the home searching for the source of the noises. Earlier they clearly heard it come from the kitchen.
By the time the officers arrived, the noises had stopped. They inspected the home, but found nothing suspicious.
The police think they know where the noises came from. "It is possible that the WiFi/Bluetooth boxes in the kitchen picked up a signal from a neighbor", the police said. "What genre of film they were watching can not be determined with certainty."
