Body found in Amsterdam home

A man was found dead in his home on C.J.K van Aaltstraat in Amsterdam's Oostelijk Havengebied on Saturday afternoon. The police believe he did not die a natural death. So far nothing is known about the cause of the man's death, though local residents speculate that he was murdered, Het Parool reports.

The man's family came home from vacation on Saturday and found him dead in their home. He did not go on holiday with his family because he wanted to renovate the house while they were away, according to the newspaper.

The police closed down the street for investigation. An autopsy will be done on the man's body to determine how he died.
