Dutch tourists willing to pay for kids-free flights

Nearly half of Dutch tourists are willing to pay extra for a flight with no screaming babies, smelly diapers or crawling toddlers, according to a study by website WeFlyCheap among a thousand childless Dutch travelers, RTL Nieuws reports.

"More than 40 percent of the flight tourists without children would like to pay extra for a space in the plane where no children are running around", Ruud Raaijmakers of WeFlyCheap said, according to the broadcaster. Other annoyances include kids kicking against the seat, crawling through the isles, and the way in which parents react to their children's behavior. "They often overreact, or they do not say anything about it."

The majority of surveyed travelers are willing to pay 25 euros extra for a childless flight.

Some foreign airlines are already experimenting with kids-free sections in their planes. With AirAsia, for example, you can pay around 9 euros extra to sit in a part of the plane where kids under the age of 12 are not allowed.
