Police looking for anonymous tipster in Rotterdam teen's death

The police want to make contact with the people who gave anonymous tips regarding the whereabouts of 17-year-old Orlando Boldewijn from Rotterdam, specifically the person who told the police where to find his body. "We would like the anonymous tipsters to report themselves", a police spokesperson said to the Telegraaf.

The Rotterdam teen was found dead in a lake in Ypenburg, The Hague after being missing for eight days. He never returned home after a date he made on dating app Grindr. The police found his body based on an anonymous tip.

According to the Telegraaf, Orlando's body was found near the permanent fishing spot of a 27-year-old man from The Hague. The location can only be reached by boat. The man's fishing boat forms part of the investigation, the newspaper writes. The man has also been questioned, though the police would not say whether he was questioned as a witness or a suspect.
