Breda daycare evacuated after bomb threat
A daycare on Liesboslaan in Breda was evacuated on Wednesday afternoon after someone reported that there was a bomb in the building. Surrounding homes were also evacuated, and a number of streets were closed. It turned out to be a false alarm, the police said in a statement.
The police received the bomb threat around 2:00 p.m. The 60 kids and their carers were evacuated and taken to a nearby hotel, a police spokesperson said to NU.nl. An hour later they were allowed to return to the daycare.
The daycare is located next to a busy road, close to to the Princeville traffic junction, according to ANP. Road closures due to the bomb threat therefore caused many traffic problems.
On Twitter the police announced that the bomb threat was a false alarm. The police are investigating who made the threat.
