Elderly woman, 83, murdered in her Tilburg home

The police are investigating the death of an 83-year-old woman from Tilburg. The elderly woman was found dead in her home on Sunday, and according to the police she was killed in a crime. On Tuesday morning investigators asked local residents with information to come forward, Omroep Brabant reports.

The woman's body was found in her apartment on Jachtslotstraat on Sunday afternoon. A doctor could not find a clear cause of death, and the police investigation revealed that she was killed in a crime. The police did not reveal the circumstances surrounding her death, in the interest of the investigation.

The police call on witnesses to come forward. "We hope that everyone who saw something out of the ordinary over the past days or weeks will report to us", police spokesperson Erik Passchier said to Omroep Brabant on Tuesday.
