Government agreement delivered to parliament
Government formation mediator Gerrit Zalm is delivering the new Dutch government agreement to Tweede Kamer president Khadija Arib at around 1:00 p.m. Some time after that, the VVD, CDA, D66 and ChristenUnie will present their plans to the press and parliamentarians, the Volkskrant reports.
The government agreement contains the new coalition's plans for the coming years. A summary of leaked details can be seen here.
On Monday the negotiators for the four parties in the new coalition presented the agreement to their parliamentary factions. All four parties approved the agreement, the VVD being last to do so around midnight. On Tuesday morning, the negotiators met one last time to make any final adjustments. That's now done and the new government agreement is ready to be published.
